Mission Statement:

City Union Mission is an evangelical Christian ministry committed to sharing the Gospel and meeting the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of men, women, and children who are poor or homeless.

Narrative:
|
| |
One of the wisest persons who has ever lived once said: 'The rich and poor have this in common: the Lord is the maker of them all.' Proverbs 22: 2. City Union Mission is an organization that seeks to give dignity to every person, whether very poor, homeless, or simply unlovely and unloved. The words of a beautiful hymn written by the blind hymn writer, Fanny Crosby, touches on why we are successful: 'Touched by a loving heart, wakened by kindness, chords that are broken will vibrate once more.' Every staff member of City Union Mission fully endorses our core values that include compassion, hope, integrity, love, humility, gratitude and family. We are very much a family although unrelated. Everyday in all of our facilities we spend the beginning of the day lifting the various needs of our clients and the ministry to God in prayer.
